LARGE CARVED AND PAINTED FOLK ART LIFE SIZE SEAL. Life size carving with an extended out tail curled under front flippers and extended head with glass inset eyes and wonderful carved head features. All in green and black paint. The back has a 25” x 14” section which is a removable lid which comes off and reveals a 14” d x 7” x 23” storage compartment. The lid is fashioned with a hand wrought recessed U-shaped handle. Found on the West Coast, origin is unknown, age unknown. We are not sure if this was a trade sign or possibly a figure out in front of a trading post. Quite unusual and unique. SIZE: 25” h x approximately 7’10” l x approximately 24” w.
