CARVED SHIP’S LIBERTY FIGUREHEAD. Carved wood figure of a standing woman holding a torch in her up stretched left hand. Her other hand is at waist and she is leaning back. Nice carved details. Remnants of original paint and original surface on backside. Most of the front has been scraped to its bare wood. Mounting bolts to back. Up stretched arm is made of one piece while the rest is made of two pieces. SIZE: 52” l. CONDITION: Very good, some old filled cracks and chipping to feet. Otherwise very good. 9-71268 (4,000-6,000)
