SMITH & WESSON #3 NEW MODEL TARGET REVOLVER. Cal. 38-44. Standard target model with 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl. English style target front sight and adjustable rear sight, fitted with 2-pc monogrammed hard rubber grips. Grip frame is factory cut for a shoulder stock with a single hole at the top of the backstrap and a slot in the butt. Entire revolver has been cleaned and polished to bright metal. There is light pitting around the forcing cone and edges of the hinge. SN 2424. CONDITION: Fine, as noted. All matching except the grips which are unnumbered. Grips show moderate to heavy wear and have minor stress fractures inside. Bore is worn and dark with moderate pitting, mechanics are fine. 4-47998 JR82 (Anderson Collection) (500-1,500)
