19TH CENTURY GREEN ONYX AND BRONZE ORMOLU STAND. This outstanding 19th C. French clock stand, which has an oval modeled green alabaster top, set in an ornate gadrooned ormolu frame on a reticulated apron with reed and column legs. This stand descended through a Maine family, whose ancestor worked as an ambassador in Russia during the late 19th C. According to the family, it was at this time that the stand was acquired. SIZE: 31 1/2″ h. x 20″ l. CONDITION: A couple small chips along the edge of the onyx top, otherwise generally near excellent. 9-92394 (500-1,000)
