*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION MUSKET. Cal. 25-20 SN 460620 Very rare musket, possibly one of a kind with 30” rnd bbl, modified square base front sight and musket ladder rear sight. There is a filled dovetail just below the rear band. It has full-length forearm and magazine tube with three bands. The magazine tube is a standard rifle type that has the cap notched in the bbl. It is fitted with close-couple dbl-set triggers. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and carbine buttplate without trap. The stock, however, is cut for a trap. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 90-95% dull original blue with wear and a small groove at the muzzle end and some chemical spotting on the end of the magazine tube. Receiver retains about 90% dull original blue with the lever a dark gray patina and hammer retaining most of its dark case colors. Wood is sound, showing moderate to heavy wear with light scratches, dings and gouges. Mechanics are fine, strong bore, dark in the grooves. 4-52418 JR214 (4,000-7,000)
