*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 DELUXE TRAPPER CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF SN 948532 Rare carbine with 16” bbl. Full magazine, square base front sight and 3-leaf platinum-line express rear sight. The receiver has a staple in the left side, missing the ring. The wood is straight grain walnut with nicely checkered panels on the forearm and straight stock and has a smooth carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain about 95% strong bright original blue. There is a notch on the bottom of the bbl about 1-1/2” from the muzzle where the forward magazine was. Someone moved the band to its current position ahead of the front sight. Receiver retains 94-95% strong original blue with fine edge wear and a few scattered pinpoints of rust and a scratch on the right side. Wood is sound with a small three-cornered ding and minor handling and use marks and a small bruise on the comb. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. 4-52409 JR232 (7,500-15,000)
