*SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL TARGET LARGE FRAME REVOLVER. Cal. 455MKII. Blued finish, 7-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl, British proof, British style front sight and adjustable rear sight. Shipped April 17, 1906 to Osborne, Birmingham, England. Often referred to as the Bisley model. Fitted with unnumbered diamond checkered 2-pc walnut grips. SN 35553. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains about 50-60% thin original blue with light to moderate rust pitting over most of the revolver with deep heavy pitting at the top of the backstrap and the top of the front strap. Cylinder and bbl are matching numbered while the latch is unnumbered. Grips show moderate to heavy wear, bore is bright and shiny with a few fine pits and mechanics are fine. 4-47968 JR59 (Anderson Collection) (2,000-3,500)
