LAWRENCE CARMICHAEL EARLE (American, 1845-1921) HILLSIDE STREAM. Oil on board late fall scene shows a hillside dotted with trees and sun shining through cloudy skies on hillside grass. A stream is at base of hill. Signed lower right “L. C. Earle”. Housed in an outstanding period and possibly original gesso decorated frame with gold liner having a glass front.
