DREW MILLER (American, 20th Century) HARPOONING THE WHALE. Oil on canvas 19th Century whaling scene shows a whale boat with six men having just harpooned a whale. The line is loose but soon to tighten providing the ride of their lives. The three-mast whaling ship is seen with sails down on the left and a tall ship with tails up is seen on right side. Signed lower right. Housed in its original blue and white decorated molded wood frame. SIZE: 24″ x 32″. CONDITION: Some surface dirt, very good. 9-92631 (300-500)
