WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE MALFREY POT. Extremely rare Bubble II Malfrey pot has very fine decoration against a blue and purple background. Bottom interior of pot has a geometric square design encircling a stylized flower. Top of lid depicts a large spider and spider web surrounded by winged fairies depicting freed spirits. Interior of lid depicts large bubble with fairies inside. Signed on the bottom with Portland vase, “Wedgwood”, “England” with pattern “Z4968” which could indicate that this is a variation on the standard pattern or coloration. The pot also carries a paper label “Leo Kaplan Ltd. NYC Guaranteed Genuine” on the underside. SIZE: 7 in. t x 8 in. dia. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-60259 (20,000-25,000)
