ATTRIBUTED TO ALFRED WILLIAM STRUT (British, 1856-1924) STAY BACK OR I AM GOING TO SHOOT. Large oil on canvas hunting scene shows a hunter crouched behind a small bluff with rifle ready. Two dogs are seen behind growling and ready to pounce. A hat has been thrown to the ground and a recent shot hare is at their feet. All with a mountain landscape background. Housed in a silver gilt tarnished frame. SIZE: 24” x 33”. CONDITION: Relined, restored. Fair to good. 9-74670 SM (800-1,200)
