STEUBEN EUROPE SCULPTURE. Extremely rare and elaborately wheelcarved plaque is from a series of designs by Don Wier and Lloyd Atkins in 1962. Engraving depicts woman wearing crown and holding septor sitting on the back of a reclining horse. Musical instrument and knight’s helmet lie at the horse’s feet. The crystal oval plaque rests in a heavy gold metal frame. Pictured on pg. 303 of the new Madigan book “Steuben Glass: An American Tradition in Crystal”. Comes complete with original Steuben red leather presentation box. SIZE: 11-1/4 in. w. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-61142 (3,000-4,000)
