*CUSTOM STOCKED BY DARWIN HENSLEY MAUSER 98 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN 749959. Cal. 25-06. 24-1/2″ bbl without sights. Modified 98 Mauser action, ground and shaped for modern scope base, and drilled and tapped for same. Custom bolt handle, custom two position wing safety, custom floor plate and trigger guard metal with inside guard floor plate release. It appears that all the metal work has been done short of engraving and finish. Stocked with a fabulous piece of nicely figured walnut with 90 degree black forend tip, checkered forend, checkered pistol grip with skeleton grip cap and checkered center. Small oval left side cheek piece, and skeleton butt plate with checkered center. Island inlet sling swivel base. CONDITION: Extremely fine. All metal work, bbl, receiver, floor plate, trigger guard, skeleton grip cap, and skeleton butt plate are polished and in the white, ready for custom engraving and finish. The fabulous Darwin Hensley classic stock is well executed with some nice touches around ejection port, and bolt release. There is nothing but a couple minor handling marks in stock with a fine oil finish, and wonderful crisp, sharp checkering. 4-32005 BDT168 (2,000-3,000)
