SMITH & WESSON #3 RUSSIAN 3RD MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Composite revolver with 6-1/2” commercial “Russian Model” bbl with integral front sight. Fitted with 2-pc smooth walnut grips and a lanyard loop in the butt. Grip frame is factory cut for shoulder stock with two cuts in the backstrap and one on the butt. Accompanied a walnut shoulder stock that has original iron and appears to be a modern wood stock. All the metal is a bright metal color, the frame appearing to have never been finished with fine machine marks visible and no serial numbers or proof marks anywhere. Bbl, latch, cylinder and stock iron appear old and to have been cleaned to bright, all having light pitting. NSN. CONDITION: Good, as noted. Frame has a light patina but mostly silver metal color. Balance of the revolver and stock iron are a light gray metal color. Wood stock is unfinished. Grips show moderate to heavy wear.
