*BOB ENRIGHT/ED PEUGH CUSTOM MODEL 70 FEATHERWEIGHT BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN 334161. Cal. 270. Factory 22″ bbl with ramped hooded front sight, and flip-up rear, marked “Winchester Model 70 – Featherweight – 270 WIN -.” Bbl also has two gold wire bands at chamber. Receiver is outlined in gold wire with gold SN, and a gold circle “wp” replica of the Winchester proof mark on rear bridge. The bolt has been jeweled and extractor polished, and the bolt handle is four panel checkered and polished. Each corner of receiver has a moderate foliate arabesque scroll pattern. The floor plate and trigger guard have bold floral and foliate scroll pattern, with gold wire borders, and a gold bordered oval with engraved rams head. Above the front screw is marked, “Engr. Ed. Peugh.” The metal grip cap has matching foliate scroll with gold wire border, as does the skeleton butt plate. Stocked in a fine piece of streaky and marble walnut with 90 degree black forend tip, checkered forend, checkered pistol grip, with oval cheek piece on left side. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears as new since finish with just a few very light handling marks. With sharp crisp checkering, and a fine hand rubbed oil finish on the stock. 4-32017 BDT172 (3,000-5,000)
