*FABULOUS RAY PRICE/KEN WARREN CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN G1972877. Cal. 458 WIN. 22-1/2″ bbl. Ramped bbl band front sight with hood, stippled ramp with gold wire border, engraved band and hood with gold wire border around relief engraved foliate arabesque scroll, with select gray finish. Bbl band swivel with gold lined border, and relief engraved foliate arabesque scroll with select gray center. Quarter ribbed rear with standing and one folding sight with gold center line and gold “50” on standing, and gold “100” on folding. Bbl and sides of quarter rib are engraved in relief foliate arabesque scroll and done in select gray. “458 Win MAG” is inlaid in gold with gold chamber band, bbl is also engraved, “Ray Price – Rifle Maker.” The receiver, rings, and bases are engraved in relief foliate arabesque scroll done in select gray with gold wire borders, and “Winchester” trademark inlaid in gold. Bolt handle and shroud are engraved with relief foliate arabesque scroll, and inlaid with gold borders and Fleur De Lis’ on bolt handle. The knob of the bolt is relief engraved with a lions head, with select gray finish. Trigger guard and floor plate are relief engraved in a foliate arabesque scroll and select gray with gold wire border, and a gold relief engraved elephant. Grip cap is in select gray finish with gold wire and a relief engraved Cape Buffalo. Rear sling swivel is engraved with select gray. Stock is straight grain fiddleback walnut with full checkered forend, 90 degree black forend tip, two stock reinforcing bolts, checkered pistol grip with engraved grip cap, and oval left side cheek piece. The engraving and gold work were executed by Kenneth W. Warren. The metal work, blue finish, stock work, finish, fit, and checkering were done by Ray Price, and the selective gray finish by Theressa Warren. This fine safari rifle is topped with a matte finish Pentax 1.5-5x scope mounted in engraved Dave Tally ring. CONDITION: Extremely fine.
