*LYNTON McKENZIE CUSTOM MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN M0211. Cal. 458 WIN. 23-1/2″ round bbl with ramped bbl band front sight with hood, floral scroll engraved with gray finish, and gold wire border. Matching bbl band swivel with gold wire border, rear quarter rib with one standing and one folding sight with gold center line, and chamber area floral scroll engraved finish in gray with two gold chamber bands. Receiver is floral scroll engraved, finished in gray with gold borders. On left side there’s a small shield with gold border with initials, “D.C.F.” Bolt handle is two panel checkered with gold border, and some gold accents near top. Floor plate has majestic engraved “Cape Buffalo” with landscape background, and foliate scroll finished in gray all outlined with gold wire. Trigger guard bow has an open scroll design with gold inlay. This outstanding work was done by Lynton McKenzie for an Australian customer. (McKenzie was orig from Australia). It’s stocked in streaky straight grain walnut with 90 degree forend tip, full checkered forend, two reinforcement bolts, full checkered pistol grip with engraved and gold border grip cap. Toe line has sling swivel stud installed. Oval left side cheek piece and black Old English recoil pad. Rifle is topped with a Leupold Vari – X III 1.5-5 scope. Housed in a dark brown Browning luggage case. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Gun has just a few light handling marks and a couple of minor scratches on the cheek piece. Finish is a fine hand rubbed oil.
