SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 AUSTRALIAN CONTRACT REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Nickel finish, 7” keyhole ribbed bbl, 2-pc monogrammed hard rubber grips. Grip frame is cut for shoulder stock and the butt has the broad arrow proof. SN 23297. CONDITION: Very good. All matching except the grips which are unnumbered. Retains about 60% original nickel on the frame and bbl with some scattered pitting, a couple deep spots on the bbl and cylinder. Cylinder has strong nickel in the flutes with the balance a light gray metal color and fine pitting. Hammer retains about 90% case colors and the trigger guard 25-30% fading colors. Bore is bright and shiny with a few spots of pitting, mechanics are fine. Grips show light wear turning chocolate. 4-48026 JR117 (Anderson Collection) (2,000-3,000)
