*FABULOUS MANDARINO/CHURCHILL CUSTOM MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN NSN. Cal. .280 REM. 24″ round bbl without sights with bbl band swivel. Engraved with chamber marking and single chamber band with minimal scroll on each side. The small ring 98 Mauser action has tasteful foliate scroll, and single lined border engraved with Talley bases, and an extended rear tang to accommodate a shotgun style thumb safety with, “SAFE” inlaid with gold. The straddle 1-pc trigger guard and floor plate with inside bow release is masterfully engraved with leaping Bull Elk inlaid in gold, with exquisite detailed background of a forested scene. The remainder of floor plate and trigger bow are done in a fine open foliate scroll. The metal grip cap is engraved, “M. Mandarino – Gun Maker & W. Churchill – Engraver” surrounding a fine floral pattern. Stock with exhibition grade walnut, and 90 degree black forend tip, full checkered forend, checkered pistol grip, and oval cheek piece with leather covered pad, sling swivel stud, and blank gold oval in toe line. Topped with Swarovski 4x scope in engraved Talley lever rings, and all housed in a Marvin Huey oak and leather case. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Appears new since finish.
