*OUTSTANDING WINCHESTER 1901 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN. SN 65848. Cal. 10 gauge. 32″ full choked bbl with single brass sighting bead. Usual receiver with scripted “WRA Co.” on left side. Mounted with uncheckered straight grain walnut with round knob pistol grip stock, and checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Bore diameter: .775. Bore restriction: .033. Wall thickness: .038. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″. Drop at comb: 1-7/8″. Weight: 8 lbs 13 oz. CONDITION: Fine plus. Bbl retains 90-95% orig blue with slight muzzle wear, and a few scratches the longest being about 3″, just forward of magazine-tube. Magazine-tube shows wear the first 5″ forward of receiver, and carries silver-patina color there, with balance being a strong orig blue. Receiver has 90-95% orig blue with sharp edge wear, a small lightly cleaned area on left side, and a matching even lighter area on right side. Butt plate is mostly just a silver, mixed with brown/patina color. Stocks are solid with usual nicks and dings, and a couple minor small gouges and retains 70-75% orig varnish, worn through the pistol grip area. Forend pieces are sound with wear through the closest 5″ of the receiver. Mechanics are crisp, and bore has some moderate pitting the first 12″ or so from the chamber. 4-32122 BDT188 (1,500-1,750)
