WELLS FARGO GOLD BULLION BOX. Heavy wooden crate 21-1/2” long, 11” wide by 6-1/2” deep of milled 1” lumber having a weathered gray appearance with handles nailed to each end. One side is stenciled in silver paint “WELLS FARGO & CO. / S.S. ALAMEDA / ALASKA”, and the other is stenciled “ALASKA STEAMSHIP CO.” one end is stenciled “W.F. & CO” and the other “25”. CONDITION: Worn, missing some splinters from the top edge with grain checks at the ends of the side boards. The sides retain a dark weathered appearance with the lettering legible. 4-48926 JR731 (1,000-2,000)
