*WINCHESTER MODEL 42 SOLID RIB PUMP SHOTGUN. SN 58611. Cal. .410. 28″ bbl with raised solid rib and sgl silver sighting bead. Chambered for 3″ and choked modified. Mounted with semi-fancy American walnut with checkered field-style fore end and checkered pistol grip, 13-7/8″ to a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight:6lbs 5oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 95-98% orig blue with the usual minor scratches and wear marks from the function of the gun. The bbl receiver ring and extension have a couple small areas of spotting. Receiver retains 95-98% orig blue with typical sharp edge wear and some minor storage spots on lower rear of sideplate. Wood is sound with only a few very minor marks and appears to be orig but was probably waxed or rubbed at some point during its history. 28″ solid rib field choked guns in this condition are quite hard to come by. 4-31782 BDT63 (5,500-7,500)
