SCARCE WINCHESTER TANG SIGHT WITH BOX. Fine thick base mid-range tang sight with 3” blade and flat disk, complete with mount screw. It is graduated on the side from zero to 200 yards. An original leatherette covered wooden box with dark blue velvet lining accompanies it. The lid is stamped in gold, “WINCHESTER / VERNIER / AND / WIND GAUGE / SIGHTS”. CONDITION: Sight is extremely fine retaining most of its bright blue finish that may be an old restoration. Box is in poor condition with the lid separated and missing part of the covering from the back with broken wood. Top is missing a 3/4” x 1/2” hole with other smaller losses and crackling. Bottom is missing one end and part of the back. Velvet lining is slightly soiled, but fine. All of the other pieces that came with the set are missing. 4-52946 JR678 (500-1,000)
