JAMES S. KING (American, 1852-1925) KNITTING IN THE GARDEN. Fine oil on canvas scene shows a young woman seated by tree on bench apparently knitting. She sits at the end of a grassy area with wall and colorful flowers planted beside. Beyond the wall is a panoramic landscape of river valley with mountain in background and tops of houses seen beyond wall. Signed lower left “J. King 1910”. Housed in a fine gilt pierced carved frame.
