GEZA KUKAN (Hungarian, 1890-1936) COLORFUL PEONIES STILL LIFE. Large oil on canvas tabletop still life shows a tall flower decorated vase holding lavender, white and yellow flowers. The tabletop is covered with a gold printed fabric and the backdrop is a deep purple curtain decorated with red roses. Signed upper left and dated “1917”. Housed in a fine carved wood gilt arts & crafts style replacement frame. SIZE: 34-1/4” x 27-1/2”. CONDITION: Two patches to reverse, inpainting. Very good. 9-73526 (1,750-2,250)
