EARLY TIFFANY HANGER. Wonderful early hanging fixture has bronze rope twist wire frame bent in the shape of daisies with bronze ball centers. The wire frame holds a ribbed opalescent glass shade and is suspended from four bronze chains each having two white opal glass loops. The chains attach to a center four hook fixture at the top of a rod which drops the socket into the fixture. The piece is finished with a ceiling cap with bronze bead trim. A similar example is pictured in the book “Louis Comfort Tiffany” by Jacob Baal-Teshuva on page 236. Shade is unsigned but numbered “S4638”. SIZE: 12” dia. Overall height is approx. 30”. CONDITION: Some of the glass rings on suspension chain show hairlines and the ceiling cap has been replaced, otherwise very good. 5-71832 (7,000-9,000)
