RARE SMITH & WESSON WELLS FARGO 1ST MODEL SCHOFIELD REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Schofield. Blued finish, bbl cut to 5-1/8” with usual markings on both sides of the bbl lug strap. Right side is also marked “WF & CO’S EX 2790”. 2-pc walnut grips matching numbered to this revolver. There are small inspector marks on various parts. SN 2790. CONDITION: About good. Retains traces of original blue in the very sheltered areas with the balance a mottled brown patina. Grips are sound with numerous nicks, dents and scratches and retains about 60% of original varnish.
