*WAFFEN DSCHUINIGG SALZBURG AUSTRIA 20GA OVER-UNDER SHOTGUN. SN 40.2574. The 27-3/4″ vent matted rib bbls are marked “Waffen Dschuinigg Salzburg Austria” and are also marked “Bohler Blitz Stahl” and have Austrian proof marks. Gun has 2-3/4″ chambers and ejectors. The double Kersten and underbolted coin-finished action is engraved with scenes of rabbits and ducks and also has 60% scroll infill. Trigger guard has about 40% scroll engraving. The gun also has Sgl selective trigger and bushed strikers. The Proof date is 1966. The nicely streaked, European walnut pistol grip butt stock has 14-3/16″ LOP over a red Silvers-type pad with foam facing. The stock has a horn grip cap and vestiges of a left-hand cheekpiece. Bore diameter: top -.632, bottom – .633. Bore restrictions: top -.030, bottom – .020. Wall thickness: top -.025, bottom – .027. Drop at comb: 1-1/2″, drop at heel: 1-1/4″. Weight:6lbs. 7oz. CONDITION: Sgl trigger appears to work fine and ejectors are in time. Top lever closes slightly right of center. Gun is tight. 95% orig blue on bbls, 90% orig coin finish on action with some areas darkening, especially on bottom. Trigger guard retains most of its blue as do top and safety levers. Forend shows most of its orig oil finish. Checkering is a bit dirty. Butt stock has been cut and spliced back together to raise the heel, with about a 1/2″ filler between pistol grip and butt. Pistol grip cap has a repaired crack. A couple of nicks in stock on right side with what look like two filled areas where stock has been pinned together. 4-33718 MGM6 (1,000-2,000)
