BRONZE & CERAMIC EWERS. Two fantastic ewers probably French feature beautifully cast bronze frames with swirling fish, the head of Zeus and flowing handles with griffin heads. Housed within the bronze frames are the ceramic ewer bodies, one with a rich maroon glaze and the other with a cream colored glaze with flecks of medium blue. Ewers are unmarked but obvious high quality. SIZE: 18-3/4” t. CONDITION: Some discoloration to cream colored ewer, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-63616 (2,000-3,000)
