A small child with doll offers an apple to a traveler who has stopped by. The children look on in bewilderment at the visitor. The interior setting is well appointed with bric-a-brac and furniture. Housed in a gesso decorated frame with linen liner. Stretcher retaining original label with artist, title and dated “1876”. SIZE: 24” x 31-1/4”.
