PAIR OF MINIATURE PORTRAITS OF A MAN AND A WOMAN. Identically housed miniatures are in a double gilt frame having an outer wood decorated frame with an inner gilt metal lined frame. Miniatures show a man and a woman sideways seated in chairs as half portraits. They face each other, man facing right and wearing a black coat and white shirt, brown hair with long sideburns. Woman facing left wears a black dress with white collar and large white hairpiece. She has brown curly hair and both are seen against an ivory background which lowers to a dark greenish/brown. SIGHT SIZE: 3-3/4” x 2-3/4”. CONDITION: There is some light spot foxing but generally very good. 9-28303 (800-1200)
