Artist easel with canvas and other artist’s supplies throughout room. A fine detailed interior scene. Signed lower right “L. Boilly”. Housed in a good gilt carved frame. Provenance: Christie’s London, March 18, 1960, Important pictures by old masters, lot 112″. This artist was known for his genre subjects who has been a popular artist for collectors and the general public. He exhibited at the Salon and received a gold medal in 1884..
