Black and white image shows Portland in 1855 with many ships in the harbor and hundreds of people on closest shoreline watching christening of a ship. The Daniel Webster paddleboat is seen in harbor with many buildings and spires in distance. Housed in its original gilt molded wood frame. SIGHT SIZE: 27-1/2” x 43”. IMAGE: 23” x 40”.
