SMITH & WESSON 44 DOUBLE ACTION FRONTIER MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 44WCF (44-40). Nickel finish, 5” keyhole ribbed bbl, pinned half moon front sight and 2-pc monogrammed hard rubber grips. SN 4044. CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains about 80% strong original nickel, appears unfired with the finish loss simply from poor storage. There is some moderate to heavy pitting on the bottom and left side of the bbl, and scattered fine pitting elsewhere. Hammer retains about 90% case colors under some heavy crud and the trigger about 50%. Trigger guard retains about 90% blue. Bore is bright and shiny with scattered light pitting. Grips are sharp with minor wear and the left side turned chocolate. Crisp mechanics. 4-47978 JR130 (Anderson Collection) (750-1,500)
