OUTSTANDING FRENCH SILVER FIGURAL CHOCOLATE POT. In the form of a rooster. The spout with a realistic rooster head and neck having open beak for spout. The handle is feather design and the wings form the body and two horizontal claw foot legs support pot. The neck has hanging bunches of fruit with a domed cover with similar decoration. Probably late 18th Century with a hallmark crown on an “A”. Also crown on a “P” and a crown on a fleur-de-lis. Unknown silver content. WEIGHT: 36.6 tr. oz. SIZE: 9” h x 9” w.
