*KIMBALL ARMS SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 30 Carbine. Rare pistol, only 300 made in 1958. Rarity is due primarily to slide and frame failure, which accounts for the discontinuance of production. This example is in the white, never having been finished. It apparently was rough polished but not finish polished as there are still fine machine marks visible. This pistol has a 5” bbl with small ramp and partridge front sight and fixed rear sight. The design is similar to a high standard .22 with blow back design and checkered black hard rubber grips. Left side of the slide is marked “30 Cal. Carbine” and right side of frame is the serial number which are the only marks on this pistol. Left sideplate appears to be a homemade piece of sheet metal. SN 236. CONDITION: As noted, about good. Being mostly a gray metal color with light patina. Grips are sound, magazine is missing the follower and is difficult to install and remove. Bore is bright and shiny. This pistol should be considered unsafe to fire until examined by a competent gunsmith. 4-48283 JR381 (Anderson Collection) (800-1,500)
