BRIDE & GROOM DOOR OF HOPE DOLLS. Two of the more highly desirable Door of Hope dolls, the bride and groom are elaborately costumed; he in a long purple tunic with embroidered design in both front and back, a pink brocade undergarment and pale blue trousers with royal purple brocade boots and a matching hat with red tassels. The bride wears a Chinese red two piece ensemble with embroidered flowers and two long tassels hanging off the side of the skirt. In her right hand is a red kerchief and her headdress is a band which is open in the back revealing a carved bun with a flower garland about the bun. SIZE: 11-1/2″ (28cm). CONDITION: Both are very good to excellent with one paint scrape on the bride’s hair which is concealed by the headdress and a white spot on the lower part of the groom’s coat possibly caused by adhesive tape. 1-8302 RS (2,000-3,000)
