ABBOTT FULLER GRAVES (American 1859-1936) TENDING TO CHORES. Oil on canvas scene shows a connected New England colonial farmhouse with separate barn on a side of a dirt road leading to a bridge under tall trees. The barn doors are open and a horse is seen eating from a trough with a farmer standing beside. Several chickens are on and near the dirt road. The summer scene is shown under a blue and white cloud sky. Signed lower right “Abbott Graves”. Housed in a modern gilt wood carved frame. SIZE: 20” x 24”. CONDITION: Relined. Some inpainting.
