STARR PERCUSSION CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal. 54. SN 16902. Standard carbine with 21″ stepped rnd bbl, iron front sight and 2-position flip rear sight. Usual markings on the bbl, receiver and lockplate. The receiver has a staple & ring in the left side. It has straight stock with small forearm with brass bbl band & buttplate. There are small inspector initials on the left side of the chamber area of the bbl. CONDITION: About good. Bbl retains 30-40% orig blue with the balance a blue/brown patina. Breechblock retains 75-80% blue and the receiver 30-35% silvered case colors with the balance a brown patina. Wood is sound with a highly polished refinish.
