Pear form partially spiral reeded body engraved with an armorial crest having a Bishop’s mitre above a halved shield and the motto “VIRTUTE NON ASTUTIA” (“By courage, not by craft”. Double scroll handle, a gadrooned top rim with drop reeding and having a gold wash interior. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (FW Woolworth Dept. Store). WEIGHT: 27 tr. oz. SIZE: 8-3/4” h.
