STARR PERCUSSION CARBINE. SN 18150. Cal. 54. 21” rnd bbl. Marked “STARR ARMS Co / YONKERS.N.Y.” on the lockplate with the same marking in one line on top of the bbl. An issue mark “1 / ARK / K” is stamped in a cross on top of the chamber. The two cartouches are obscured by dents and wear. The name “ND(?)TAYLOR” is carved on the left side of the stock. This has not been researched. CONDITION: 50% blue on the bbl mixed with surface rust and light pitting, moderate at the muzzle. Gray/brown on the action. Stock has dents and scratches on both sides.
