FORREST KING MOSES (American, 1893-1974) “THREE PONDS”. Oil on masonite primitive scene shows a group of Colonial houses in the winter having a mill and three connected ponds. Rolling hills under blue sky. Signed lower right “Forrest K. Moses”. Also an artist label on reverse with title, date of painting “Jan 1963”. Forrest is the son of noted artist Grandma Moses (Anna Mary Robertson Moses). Housed in a burl wood style and gilt wood frame. SIZE: 12” x 16”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-73503 SM (1,200-1,500)
