CHARLES FREDERICK WILLIAM MIELATZ (American, 1864-1919) “OUT OF COMMISSION”. Fine etching shows a large sailing vessel at low tide next to a pole supported dock with several men working beside. A smaller rowboat is being moved by two other men on dry ground. A city harbor scene is seen in background with ships and buildings. Signed in plate and dated “87”. Also pencil signed bottom right and having a remark with small rowboat on dry land. Housed in a fine reproduction partial gilt molded wood frame with a beige matte and inner partial gilt molded wood liner. SIGHT SIZE: With margin is 16” x 23-1/4”. Image is 13-1/4” x 21-1/2”. CONDITION: Appears to be laid down, very good. Not examined out of frame. 9-73397 (500-800)
