Unframed Hudson River School oil on canvas scene shows a farmer with two cows in grass covered edge of dirt road looking towards a village having church with tall white steeple. Gray clouds gather from the left indicating an approaching storm. Sunlight shines through breaks in clouds. SIZE: 14” x 22-1/2”. CONDITION: Patch to back of original canvas with corresponding inpainting and strip lined, remounted on stretcher. Light scratch in upper right, otherwise very good. 9-26165 (2,500-3,500)
