LARGE ANTIQUE ORNATE FRAME. Double outside frame with scroll and flower vine work has inner wide and thin gilt liners with gesso decoration. On reverse are two labels, one from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The other from the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts indicating it held a Eugene Delacroix painting called “The Lion Hunt” which was owned by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Please note: This frame has been measured with the maximum outside dimensions; also the interior dimensions which would fit a painting. The frame is delicate and requires special handling. Please keep this in mind if you intend to purchase this frame. SIZE: Interior opening is 46-1/2” x 36-1/4”. Outside is 68” x 57”. CONDITION: There are a number of breaks and missing small sections. 9-73530 (1,750-2,250)
