SCARCE SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1 THIRD ISSUE TIP UP REVOLVER. Cal. 22 Short. Nickel finish, 2-11/16” ribbed round bbl with bird head 2-pc rosewood grips. This scarce little revolver has the bbl address on the side instead of the top. SN 76615. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching including the grips. Retains 95-97% strong original nickel with losses mainly on the cylinder and the forcing cone area with some sharp edge wear. Grips are sound and retain most of their original varnish. Bore is strong with scattered moderate to heavy pitting. The hand spring is broken, otherwise the mechanics are fine. 4-48078 JR168 (Anderson Collection) (750-1,250)
