The circular salver having a gadrooned rim, enclosing an armorial cartouche with a crown over a banner “Sans Tache” (“without stain”) with an arm holding a crescent above a large script letter “N”. Raised on three scrolled feet. The arms are those of Baron Napier of Merchiston. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (FW Woolworth Dept. Store). WEIGHT: 33 tr. oz. SIZE: 12” dia x 1-1/2” h.
