CHINESE CAST-BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF ROYALTY OR A DEITY. Depicting a seated figure having crossed arms holding a weapon, in floral robe wearing an unusual scrolled headdress, seated on a stylized throne supported by five small human figures raised on the remnants of a bracket base with old patina. SIZE: 14-1/2″ h. x 6-1/4″ l. x 5-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: This statue was acquired on mainland China in the 1930’s by a visiting professor. CONDITION: The sand-cast small statue with remnants of original gilding shows deterioration with repairs to proper right front corner of base. 9-92247 (1,000-2,000)
