*WINCHESTER DELUXE TAKEDOWN MODEL 1894 RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. SN 880334. Beautiful deluxe rifle with 26” oct bbl, half magazine, takedown with ivory bead Lyman front sight, slot blank in the rear seat and a locking Lyman tang sight with large disk. It has very nicely grained 2X wood with “H” style checkering, capped pistol grip stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with the bbl and magazine tube retaining 98-99% strong bright original blue, having a slightly thinned spot near the rear sight seat. Receiver retains 97-99% strong bright original blue with a few very minor nicks and scratches. Forend cap and takedown ring have a few spots of flaking, otherwise retain most of their original blue with the balance a light patina. Lever, hammer and buttplate retain most of their original blue, the wood is sound with a few minor chips in the varnish of the buttstock and one small gouge area, otherwise retains virtually all of its original bright piano finish varnish.
