VIRGILIO TOJETTI (American/Italian, 1851-1901) PARISIAN FLOWER GIRL. Oil on canvas outdoor scene shows a well dressed young woman in pink satin gown with lace top and matching bonnet. She has gathered flowers which she holds in her dress. She has long black hair and wears black lace fingerless gloves. She has a wooded forest behind her and wild flower foreground. Signed middle left “V. Tojetti Paris”. Housed in what appears to be its original gilt gesso decorated frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 25-1/2″ x 19-1/4″. CONDITION: Relined, restored with inpainting.
